Pink Moon Hike

Come enjoy the beautiful full moon as it rises over the Davis Mountains. During April it's called the Pink Moon.

Full moons are special anywhere, but they are especially beautiful seen from the Scenic Overlook here at DMSP. Come join us on this 30-minute hike along Skyline Drive Trail. Along the way, we'll share interesting stories and moon lore. Please keep in mind the terrain here is rocky and uneven. 

Meet: at the CCC Lookout rock shelter (dead-end of Skyline Drive - make sure to refer to the park map or ask a staff member for directions)

Bring: sturdy shoes, water, binoculars, camera, hiking poles

Cost: free for campers, Indian Lodge guests, or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass
