First Day Overlook Hike

Join us to celebrate the New Year with a guided hike to the best view in the park!

Grab your hiking boots! We are heading up to the highest point in the park! When we reach the top, you'll earn your "First Day Hike" Sticker and be able to grab a photo with the First Day Hike 2026 sign. 

Meet: Main Track Site (roped off area in the river)

Distance: 1.5 miles (round trip)

Difficulty: Moderate

Bring: Plenty of water, close-toed shoes, and weather appropriate clothing

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass.
