Capacity Closures

Expect delays, traffic congestion and capacity closures during Spring Break and holiday weekends. When we are full, the park will close.

April 1, 2020 - You must purchase day-use and camping  permitsbefore your visit, as we are not taking payments on-site at this time. This is for the health and well-being of both visitors and staff. Visit our Facebook page or Twitter feed for updates on closures.

Trails may be closed due to wet conditions or weather; please contact the park, or visit our Facebook page or  Twitter feed prior to arrival for current trail status and dinosaur track visibility.

Late arrivals

For after-hours visitors with reservations, we will post a list of site assignments on the sliding glass door at Park Headquarters. Maps are in the top compartment of the self-pay station. We highly recommend that you arrive at least one hour before dark if you are camping in the primitive hike-in sites. Visitors arriving after hours must use the self-pay station and register at Park Headquarters by 9 a.m. the next morning.
