Angler Education Instructor Training Workshop - Port Isabel

Become a TPWD Certified Angler Education Instructor

This fun, free, hands-on workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in learning and teaching fishing skills in their communities. No fishing experience required!  

All equipment and materials are provided for the workshop. After certification, the program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help educators and volunteers successfully introduce others to fishing. Ideal formal and informal education settings, and for adults leading fishing clubs, scout or youth groups, after school or camp staff and community volunteers. TEA-approved CPE available for teachers.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and footwear appropriate for outdoor activities. Please dress for the weather conditions and time spent outdoors, bring a sack lunch, and a reusable water bottle.
