This is a two-part training. To receive certification participants must attend both sessions on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 and Thursday, April 18, 2023 (6:30 pm - 9:00 pm each day). No make-up sessions will be offered. Participants need to have a camera, mic and speakers to participate in this interactive training.
This free workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in teaching fishing skills in their communities. The program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help volunteers successfully introduce youth and their families to fishing. Ideal for teachers, scout or youth group leaders, afterschool or camp staff and community volunteers. TEA-approved CPE (5 hours) credit is available for teachers.
