Professional development for anyone who works with young children including early childcare professionals, teachers, homeschool parents, and more.
Growing Up WILD invites you to explore and share the fascinating world of wildlife and ecosystems using fun, hands-on educational activities. You will experience engaging TEKS-aligned activities that are designed especially for young children (ages 3-7) while networking with other educators. This workshop will also highlight Project Learning Tree's K-8 Explore Your Environment guide.
Workshop participants receive:
- 6 hours TEA-approved CPE and TEEAC Credit
- Growing Up WILD early childhood guide
- Explore Your Environment guide (PLT product)
- Texas-specific resources
We will be outside in the woods all day, please dress appropriately for the weather and conditions (closed-toe shoes & comfortable clothing). Please bring your lunch.
$80 Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline March 27, 2026; payment will be made via cash or check on day of workshop.
Fee is for WILD training. WILD materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire experience are required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
