Project WILD invites you to explore and share the fascinating world of wildlife and ecosystems using fun, hands-on educational activities. You will experience engaging TEKS-aligned activities while networking with other educators. This workshop will also include Project Learning Tree's Explore Your Environment guide.
Workshop participants receive:
- 24 hours TEA-approved CPE and TEEAC Credit
- Project WILD K-12 guide & Aquatic WILD K-12 guide
- Explore Your Environment K-8 guide (PLT product)
- Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Angler Education training
- Texas-specific resources
Please prepare for indoor & outdoor activities. BYO lunch & a reusable water bottle each day.
Each day is in a different location (must attend all 4 days):
- Monday, June 8: Project WILD @ Jesse H Jones Nature Park (20634 Kenswick Drive, Humble, TX)
- Tuesday, June 9: Project Learning Tree @ W.G. Jones State Forest (1328 FM1488, Conroe, TX)
- Wednesday, June 10: Aquatic WILD @ Mercer Botanic Gardens (22306 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX)
- Thursday, June 11: Angler Education @ Sheldon Lake State Park (14140 Garrett Rd., Houston, TX)
$100 registration fee due if application is accepted. Application deadline May 5, 2026.
Fee is for WILD training. WILD materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire experience are required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
