Join a park ranger for an evening under the stars!

Meet:  Park in the Swim Beach parking lot and take a short walk to the viewing location.

Bring: lawn chair/blanket, flashlight (preferably red light), binoculars (optional), water, bug spray, dress for weather

Cost: Free with park admission. $5 per person 13 and up, free for children 12 and under. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.

- Wait until the day of to purchase a day pass to be sure the weather doesn't cancel the event.

- If you have a camping reservation, you do not need to purchase a day pass.

- If arriving after 4:30 PM. use the self-pay station to get your day pass (cash only or online if available).

No cell phones or flashlights in the viewing area. The light can reset your night vision, and t can take up to 40 minutes to readjust.

Bring a red-light flashlight if you have one. Red light will help you see without disrupting your ability to see the stars. We can turn your regular flashlight into a red-light flashlight at the event.

Arrive before dark so you can easily find where we are set up.

Please leave pets at home for this event.
