Midnight Summit First Day Hike

Join us for a Rock'ing New Year's Eve Hike on our Summit Trail and ring in the new year with fellow outdoor enthusiasts, adventurers, rangers, and rock-lovers under the stars*!

Starting at 11:15 P.M., rangers will lead a late night hike to the top of Enchanted Rock via our beloved 0.8-mile Summit Trail, where we will celebrate the arrival of 2026 in good-- nay, the best company. 

*Stars contingent on weather... as always!  

Meet: Gazebo at the Summit Trailhead 

Bring: Layers, binoculars, red lights, best friends, enemies, loved ones, family members, rivals, accountants

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Purchase day passes online ahead of time to guarantee entry- use the 3-8 PM time slot, but please note, you do not need to arrive during that time period and may arrive closer to the start time of the hike. If all pre-sale permits are reserved, you may purchase your day pass in person at the park on the night of the hike.
