Join volunteer Park Interpreters for a morning hike and learn how to use iNaturalist.

Registration is not required for this hike and is open to all.

Join volunteer Park Interpreters for a morning hike on the Interpretive Loop Trail and learn how to use iNaturalist. During this walk we can cover topics such as park history, native flora and fauna, birding and Enchanted Rock lore all while getting some practice making observations that you can keep forever. It’s helpful to download the app Seek by iNaturalist before the hike.

Note: This trail has some inclines and stepping on/over rocks. This hike is pet friendly.

Duration: 0.5 miles

Length: Approximately 1 hour

Meet: At the Interpretive Loop trailhead (near the half-moon or horseshoe parking lot)

Bring: Water, good hiking shoes/boots, hiking stick (optional), binoculars (optional), camera (optional).

This event is free with the purchase of a Day Pass or an overnight Camping reservation. Reservations can be made online at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. Entry fees are $8 per adult ages 13+, children 12 and younger are free.
