Discovery Night

A two-hour hike at night, led by knowledgeable rangers. You've seen the park in the daytime, now see it at night!

You've seen the park in the daytime, now see it at night.   Anything could happen, no one knows!:
• perhaps spider-sniffing (maybe even tarantulas!)
• perhaps scorpions glowing under black lights
• perhaps pauraques (night birds seen nowhere else in the U.S. except South Texas)
• perhaps alligator eyes glowing red in the night
• perhaps stargazing, constellations, planets
• perhaps creatures of the night. anything is possible including armadillos, owls, frogs, bobcats, snakes, bats...

Meet on the deck just outside the Park Store. Suitable for all ages. Free with park admission ($5 for adults, children 12-and-under free).
