Enjoy the daylight before the longest night of the year.
Get ready to enjoy the cooler weather with a fun hike through the park! Even though winter here feels a bit different than in the north, it’s a great time to enjoy the refreshing temperatures, see what seasonal changes we can find in the landscape, and appreciate the unique beauty of South Texas.
Bring: Water, wear comfortable close-toed shoes, and dress for cooler weather.
Location: Meet in the parking lot by the boat ramp and we'll start at the Desert Trail.
Distance: 2.6 miles at a slow to moderate pace; trail areas can range from soft and sandy to rocky and uneven.
Fees: This program is free with paid entry to the park. Park entrance fees are $3 per adult, free for children 12 & under.
Additional Info:
- Anyone can participate. All ages and skill are welcome. An adult must accompany children at all times.
