8th Annual Kid Fish

Kids 5-12 can come out to Fort Boggy and learn how to fish.

Event will happen rain or shine!

Two Sessions:

9:00am-11:30am (75 children max)

1:00pm-3:30pm (75 children max)

The Annual Kid Fish is for children 5 to 12 years old.  Kids will learn how to fish by participating in stations that include fish identification, habitat, safety, knots and casting.  Afterward, children will receive a new Zebco rod ‘n’ reel and will be able to fish at the lake.  Some bait will be provided.

There will be activities for younger siblings.  Family members can fish so bring your gear.  If you don’t have fishing gear, you can borrow some from the park.  Bait can be purchased from the park headquarters.

Registration is required.  Register here.  Adult supervision required-1 adult for every 2 children.

Day pass is required.  Cost is $3.00 per person 13 years and older; 12 years and younger is free.  Purchase your pass in advance here.  Entrance is free if you have a Texas State Park Pass.
