Art in the Park

Leave No Trace ethics principles 4: Leave what you Find. Taking pictures, painting or nature journaling can help you take those memories with you.

Art in the Park will be a great opportunity to learn how to draw, paint, sculpt or journal the natural area along the Rio Grande on FM 170 called Contrabando Movie set.

With special guest Yosdy Valdivia - local curator of the Galleria Raices in Presidio and Presidio High School art teacher Tamara Carrasco of Presidio ISD. They will review- Leave no trace ethics: Leave what you find and how using these art forms can help you take those memories home. All art materials will be provided.

When:  9:30 am

Where: Contrabando Movie set along FM170 East

What: Bring your own chair or blanket, water bottle, sunscreen and dress for the weather. 

Cost: Program is free with your purchase of day use entrance fees, $5.00 for adults, children under 12 are free. You can use your TSPP to have your entrance fees waived. Obtained passes at the Fort Leaton SHS or Barton Warnock VC.
