Backyard Astronomy

Join us for some backyard astronomy at the Casa Agave restaurant in Presidio to celebrate Dark Sky month.

Most people live in cities where light pollution has ruined the dark sky. When you come to the Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve, you get to see the darkest skies in the world. Join a ranger at the Casa Agave Restaurant and learn how you can help keep our dark skies dark and be able to view them with our telescope.

When: Friday, August 15, 2025, from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Where: Casa Agave Restaurant is located at 101 O Reilly St, Presidio, TX 79845.

Cost: This event is free and open to the public.
