Step back in time and experience how frontier families lit their homes, one candle at a time.
In this hands on program, participants will learn how candles were made in the 1800s using tallow or beeswax, and try their hand at hand dipping their very own candle to take home.
Along the way, we’ll explore how essential candles were before electricity, what materials were used, and why every family had to make their own light...literally.
