Pink Full Moon Hike

Experience the rising of April’s Pink Moon in this full moon hike.

Step into the night and explore the woods under the glow of the Pink Moon! This easy 0.5-mile hike will take you through the peaceful nighttime forest as our rangers share the fascinating story of how this springtime moon got its name. Experience the sights and sounds of the park after dark and see nature in a whole new light!

Things You Should Know:
Meet: Kicking Bird Trail Head
Bring: Weather appropriate clothing (jackets, etc.), red flashlight, 1 liter of water per person per mile and comfortable walking/hiking shoes or boots.
Cost: Included with admission to the park. Park admission is free with a Texas State Park Pass (purchased before event).

Remember to pay with a self-service envelope at Headquarters or make a day use reservation before arriving!
