8:00a to 11:00a
Sun, May 11, 2025
(915) 444-9121

What better way to celebrate mother's day then to explore the beautiful Chihuahuan Desert with other women, led by a female ranger or volunteer. Learn about best hiking practices and the unique desert ecosystems. This hike is open to women of all experience levels who are excited to spend more quality time outdoors.

This is a moderate 1.9 mile hike and is excellent for families, beginner hikers, or geology and wildlife enthusiasts. We will hike the new trail which forks off the old trail to the right as you begin the hike. This is a lovely meandering trail with several great lookout points and photo ops along the way. We will explore the geology and history of the cave before heading back down.
