Start the new year with Bach by the Gulf! Join Wild Notes Foundation for an outdoor performance of Bach's Suite No. 1 for Solo Cello, performed by cellist Dr. Mandy Guilfoyle.
This special concert concludes Wild Notes' inaugural Galveston Island Field Residency, a five-day exploration of the island's coastal environments through ecological listening and musical research. Hear how the experience of the island shapes a fresh interpretation of Bach's beloved music.
- Bring: A folding chair or blanket, water, sun protection, and anything else you might need to enjoy a short outdoor concert.
- Meet:Â On the beach directly beyond the Day-Use Area. Park in the Day-Use Area parking lot and use the sidewalks and boardwalks to walk down to the beach(~.2mi).
- Cost: Entry fee is $5 for adults and FREE for children 12 & under. Park entry free with a State Parks Pass.
- Program will be held on packed and loose sand.
