The stars at night, are big and bright....Deep in the heart of Texas!
Do you know your stars? Well, we can teach you a few or show you some cool ways to learn them all!
We will hand out equipment and test your stellar knowledge, and then work our way towards the sand as the sun sets and the evening stars glow.
Join Ranger Regina on a cool evening night hike and learn about the importance of the dark and our connection to the stars overhead. Dress and be prepared to be outside. Reconnect with the night and join us for a great evening adventure into the unknown...
What to Expect:
- Bring: BUG SPRAY, water, weather appropriate clothing, blanket or towel for the chill, smart phone for an optional star app download, and red flashlight or headlamp.
- Meet: Turtle Statue in beach side day-use area
- Cost: Entry fee is $5 for adults and FREE for children 12 & under. Park entry free with a State Parks Pass.
- Ranger led program
- Easy, relaxing walk (0.5 miles) on pavement, boardwalks, and packed sand
