Women, wildlife, and the wonder of birds - there's a lot to celebrate!
Join us to celebrate International Women's Day with a guided bird walk through Galveston Island State Park’s diverse ecosystems! This special event highlights the important role women play in conservation and nature, while also exploring the park’s unique bird species and the ecological significance of its beach, coastal prairie, and bay habitats.🌿💪
What to Expect:
- A leisurely, guided birding tour with a focus on the park’s avian life and the importance of conservation efforts.
- All ages are welcome, and we encourage families to join in this celebration of nature and women in conservation!
- Bring:Â Sunscreen, bug spray, water, weather appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes that can get wet.Â
- Meet: Headquarters on the beach side. We will drive to a few locations and walk ~0.75 miles total on concrete, boardwalks, sand, and trail of mostly flat terrain.
- Cost: Entry fee is $5 for adults and FREE for children 12 & under. Park entry free with a State Parks Pass.
