Learn about the different adaptations nocturnal animals use to survive in the dark, then join a Ranger on a walk through the night!

After learning about some nocturnal animal adaptations, take a guided stroll down the San Antonio River Trail as your own senses begin to adjust to the dark. We'll look for critters along the way and discover how you can help protect the creatures of the night.

Meet in the picnic area.

A limited number of flashlights will be available to loan. Red plastic wrap will be available to convert flashlights to night-friendly red light.

It is recommended that visitors have close-toed shoes, comfortable clothing, water, and bug spray.

Park entrance fees apply: $4 per person, children 12 & under are free.

If arriving after business hours, please use the self-pay box located outside Headquarters (exact change only) or pay online.
