Architect Raiford Stripling did more than restore buildings, he brought history back to life.

In 1935, as a fresh college graduate, architect Raiford Stripling began restoring a crumbling Mission Espiritu Santo with the help of Civilian Conservation Corps Company 3822-V. By 1941, the mission stood tall once again, a beautiful reminder of the complex history of Goliad, TX. From there, Raiford became one of the most notable historic architects of the time, with many unique projects under his belt that are still enjoyed today. In this program, you'll learn how one man changed the landscape of Texas and opened the doors of history to future generations.

Meet at El Camino Real de los Tejas Visitors Center.

Program is free with park entrance ($4 per person, free for kids 12 & under).
