Birding with a Ranger

Join a ranger in search of shorebirds that call Goose Island SP home.

A bird walk for any experience level. We'll walk along the bayfront to look for shorebirds.

When: 8:30-10:00am
Meet: Day Use Picnic Area (north Rec Hall parking lot)
Bring: bug spray, binoculars, sun protection and hydration. We'll have a limited amount of loaner binoculars on a first come first serve basis.
Age: This program is best suited for those that are 8 years and older
Accessibility: This bird walk will take place over grassy, uneven terrain. Some areas will be paved. Be prepared to walk up to 1 mile.
Pets: Please leave pets at home for this program.
Cost: Free with entrance permit ($5/ adult, kids 12yrs and under FREE) or Annual State Park Pass.
