Birding Tram Tour (Registration Required)

Join a ranger or volunteer for a birding trip on the park's electric tram.
We'll bird around the park on the tram. Exact route to be determined that morning. You can expect to bird for 1.5 hours with possible extension depending on how the birding is.
Registration is required. Email sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov to sign up.
Where to Meet: Picnic Area (Day Use) parking lot. The large parking lot north of the Rec Hall.
Note on Seating: The tram can seat up to 9 visitors. We seat 3 visitors per row. You may be seated by someone outside your group.
Bring: sun protection, binoculars, hydration. We'll have loaner binoculars available on a first come first serve basis.
Age: This program is best for those that are 10 years or older.
Accessibility: The tram has an accessible ramp. For questions on accessibility, email Ranger Sara: sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov
Pets: No pets permitted on the tram.
FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Groups larger than eight please contact Sara Rock for a private event.
