Intro to Archery (Registration Required)

Discover your new favorite hobby: archery!

Learn and practice the basics of archery with a ranger. This program is an introduction to basic archery and will provide lessons and experience in archery safety and shooting skills. All archery equipment is provided. Must be at least 8 years old to participate. 

Please arrive at the Day Use Area at least 5 minutes early to sign waivers.

Where: Day Use Picnic Area
Bring: Drinking water, closed-toed shoes (tennis shoes are best), sun protection, dress for the weather
Registration: Registration is required. Sign up here.
Pets: For safety reasons, please keep your pets at home.

FYI:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
• Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
• Groups larger than eight please contact Sara Rock for a private event.

• Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
