Birding with Kelly

Join retired TPWD Biologist, Kelly Bryan, on a bird walk through Goose Island.

Kelly is not only a retired TPWD biologist, but he's also an experienced birder! This program is open to any experience level and best for visitors aged 16 years or older.

You can expect to walk, but caravaning may be an option for accessibility.

Plan ahead! The park headquarters opens at 8:30am. This program starts at 8:00am. Be sure you arrive early enough to fill out your self-pay entrance permit. Entrance fee is $5/adult or free with a Texas State Park Annual Pass. The line can be long in the morning, so plan accordingly!

When: 8:00am
Where: Meet at the Picnic Area (Day Use) parking lot
Length of walk: You can expect to walk up to 1 mile, or be ready to caravan to other areas of the park.

FYI:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
• Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
• Groups larger than eight please contact Sara Rock for a private event.

• Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
