First Day Birding Tour

Join experienced guides for the first bird tour of the new year and discover the birds that call Goose Island State Park home! You'll learn about and identify the birds seen on the route.
When: Jan 1, 8:30-11 am
Meet: Warbler Way feeding station. Parking is available at the restrooms and nearby Turks Cap north parking lot.
Distance: Be prepared to walk up to 1 mile.
Bring: Binoculars, hydration, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, bug spray, and weather-appropriate clothing. The park offers a limited number of binoculars available for loan, but it is best to bring your own.
FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Pass.
- Reserving your day pass in advance is strongly encouraged. Use self-pay station when office is closed.
