Full Moon Hike

A little hiking, a little howling...

Experience the canyon after dark and come howl at the moon! Join knowledgeable guides on a fairly short hike and, weather permitting, enjoy a full moon.  5:30PM – 7:30PM. Participants should be able to hike 3 miles (round trip) over rugged but beautiful trails with some elevation gain. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes. Bring a flashlight, at least a quart of water, and a snack if you like. Meet at the Visitor Center by the Rainwater Harvesting Tower. Reservations required; Natural Area entrance fees apply. 

To register, please go to . Sorry, no group reservations. This hike is limited to the first 10 who register; open to ages 14 and older; minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; no pets please. Due to weather conditions this program is subject to cancellation

IMPORTANT INFO: Since this hike begins after hours, be sure to self-register as you enter the Natural Area. Instructions are posted to the right of the Fee Booth. You will need correct change: $6 per adult (13 years or older), or enter your annual Texas State Parks pass number on the appropriate line of the self-pay.
