Sounds of the Night

What creatures am I hearing from my tent????

Night time is a great chance to see and hear local wildlife, especially as the Texas heat grows during the summer time! Join our State Parks Ambassador and listen to the animals you might be hearing outside our tent at night. Is it a frog? Is it an owl? Is it an armadillo? Come find out!

Meet at the Exhibit Gallery (next to the Visitors Center) at 7:45PM.  Program will start promptly at 8:00PM followed by a short hike over moderate to easy terrain.  Dress for the weather and be sure to have sturdy footwear, water, a snack, and a light of some kind.

Though the program is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area do apply.  Plan to arrive early as Saturday mornings can be very busy. To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please pre-purchase and print out a day pass.

Dress for the outdoors;  Bring water and a snack if you wish.

This program is weather-dependent and subject to cancellation. Check trail conditions by calling GCSNA's main office at 210-688-9055, or go to the GCSNA webpage, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
