Join park rangers for information and activities before the celestial show begins!

Do you know why annular solar eclipses happen? How do they affect wildlife? Are you prepared to safely view the solar eclipse? Do you have an interest in working with NASA?

Come find out the answers to these questions and how you can participate in a community science project before the main event! We will have an information table set up in the overflow parking lot (look for the green canopy) before, during, and after the solar eclipse. There will also be an opportunity to make a pinhole viewer should you want to observe the action through one.

Where: Overflow day use parking lot
Bring: Your family, water, and eclipse glasses
We will have a limited supply of ISO-certified solar eclipse glasses for sale at Headquarters.
Cost: Free with park admission; Adults: $7, Children 12 & under

You won’t be able to enter the park on eclipse day without a pre-purchased day pass or camping permit.
