Join Ranger Augie Saturday morning as he seeks out the birds that inhabit, migrate through and visit the Hill Country SNA. Identify the various avifauna of the Hill Country by sight, sound and flight.
We will take an introductory look into birding, bird watching and bird walking. Enjoy watching, listening, and identifying the birds of Hill Country State Natural Area. Beginners, intermediate, and experienced birders are welcome to join.
Where: Hill Country SNA, Bar-O Day-use Area
When: March 21, 2026, 9:15- 11:30am
What to bring: Binoculars, camera, Bird ID books, Bird ID foldouts, apps, hat, sunglasses, sturdy hiking shoes, hiking/walking staff, dress for the weather.
Cost: Program is included with entry fee ($6.00 for adults, children 12yrs. and younger are no charge, $3.00 Seniors with Parklands Pass, free entry with a current Texas State Parks Pass, see HCSNA headquarters for other available passes at no charge). Reservations are recommended but not necessary.
