Birding 101

Come join us to learn how to become a bird expert!

Join our Ranger to learn the basics of birding. Learn what kind of bird species we have, how to use binoculars, and the importance of bird migration!

We'll practice our newfound skills on the porch with the bird feeders, and if time permits, take a short bird walk!

Limited binoculars will be available or bring your own if you have them! Good walking shoes, sun protection, and drinking water is recommended.

Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day pass early online! Please note: You do not need to register or make a reservation for this event, just be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending.
