First Day Midnight Hike

Start 2026 with a midnight hike and ring in the New Year with us!

Join us for an awesome midnight hike along the beautiful lake trail

Starting at 11:45 P.M., rangers will lead a late-night hike along our beloved 1.2-mile Lake Trail, where we will celebrate the arrival of 2026 in your favorite state park!

Difficulty: Moderate with limited elevation gain

Length: 1.2 miles

Meet: The Lake trail parking lot (Beside the old HQ) at 11:30pm. 

Bring: Warm layers, a flashlight or head lamp) (preferably a red one), water, and your favorite friends and family! 

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Purchase day passes online ahead of time to guarantee entry.
