Let's hike North Onion Creek Trail

Let's get outside and explore north Onion Creek Trail! Use of the iNaturalist app is optional. The trail is mostly flat with rolling terrain (no steep hills). Some areas are uneven. There is one area of sand inside The Horn Tunnel. The hike is about 1.5 miles round-trip. 

What is iNaturalist? iNaturalist is a citizen science app. Photos uploaded to the app contribute data for scientists and naturalists. We will teach you how to use the app. https://www.inaturalist.org/

What to bring: Please dress for weather and bring any hiking essentials needed. If you'd like to use iNaturalist, bring a smartphone with the app downloaded or a camera.

Meet: At the Horn Tunnel. Parking is available, but not restrooms. Restrooms are located at the boat ramp, swim beach, and the campground.

This program is free to attend with paid park entrance ($4 per adult, kids 12 and under are free), or a Texas State Park Pass.
