Tiny but mighty aquatic insects!
Stop by the swim beach and check out our table of macroinvertebrates! Aquatic macroinvertebrates are insects (such as dragonflies, mayflies and damselflies) and other invertebrates (such as crawdads) that live in waterbodies and are the foundation of healthy aquatic ecosystems.
A table will be set up with tubs full of these tiny but mighty creatures for you to see and identify. Come learn about these awesome critters!
Meet: At the swim beach, look for the ranger set up at a table or picnic table.
This program is free to attend with paid park entrance ($4 per adult, kids 12 and under are free).
