From Burn to Bloom Walk

Join Ranger George on a walk along Nopales Ridge Trail to learn about the importance of fire in our ecosystem!
Join us for a walk on Nopales Ridge that showcases the importance of our recent controlled burn here at the park. The walk will begin at the headquarters building and will be approximately 1.5 miles long. Ranger George will show you all the incredible impacts fire has on our ecosystem, and why it is such an integral component to conservation and management. As time progresses, you will get the opportunity to see the benefits to the many plants and animals that call the park home. You will also get to hear and see what impacts historic fire suppression has made on our landscape. There is no reservation required for this hike.
What to bring: Comfortable hiking attire, water, and a sense of curiosity.
Where to meet: The Headquarters Building
