Join birding host Kathy on an exploratory bird walk, using sight and sound to ID birds of all sizes! Great for families, campers and winter Texans alike.
What to Expect: Set out on a walk tailored to your group (could be thirty minutes, could be two hours!) to identify birds using calls and binoculars on the way.
When: 9:30am
Where: Start at Bird Viewing Area
What to Bring: Water, Binoculars (optional, we have some small ones), Cameras (optional)
This event is:
- Free with normal park entry fees
- Dog friendly
- Family/Kids friendly
Accessibility:
The Longhorn trail is mostly flat and winding. It is not paved.
Parking is near the bathhouse behind the bird blind; the trail to the bird viewing area is paved with Caliche.
