Red Trail Hike (Full Loop)

Join us as we explore both the Lower and newly opened Upper Red Trail.

Join us as we explore both the Lower and newly opened Upper Red Trail.  This route allows hikers to complete the trail without walking along the road or doubling back.  Expect a mix of terrain, scenic views, and a chance to experience this updated trail from start to finish.

Where to meet: Penitentiary Hollow Trailhead (look for the large Trailhead sign)

What to bring: Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water.

How to register: This event is free, with paid park entry for a Texas State Parks Pass, but pace is limited please contact Park Headquarters to register.
