Texas Tracks Walk

Put your tracking skills to the test.
Come along for an outdoor adventure along the Wilderness Run Trail! We’ll walk together toward the shoreline of Lake Somerville to search for animal tracks and explore other clues wildlife leave behind.
Along the way, participants will learn how to identify different types of tracks and recognize signs of animal activity such as scat, trails, feeding marks, and more!
Whether you’re curious about the animals that call our Texas landscapes home or want to sharpen your wildlife observation skills, this program is perfect for explorers of all ages.
When: Saturday, August 8 from 9 to 10:30am
Meet: Birch Creek Headquarters
Bring: Water, sunscreen, closed-toe shoes
This event is free with park entry: $5 per person, kids 12 & under free. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
