What was that?
Wildlife is everywhere at Lake Tawakoni State Park, on this guided hike we will try to find as much of it as possible! Deer, birds, and squirrels will be our sure finds and with some luck raccoons, opossums, beavers, and river otters have also been spotted on the trails.
When: 9:00am Wednesday 18th March 2026
Where: Meet at the Farkleberry Trailhead, we will be hiking Farkleberry and Osage Orange Trails (1.8 miles) and from there you can head back or take continue the journey on the blackjack trail (1.5 miles)
What to bring: dress for the weather, plenty of water, Sunscreen, bug spray, hiking shoes, hat, binoculars.
Event is free with Park entry ($5 for adults 13 and older; 12 and under are free)
