Moths: Night Shift - Night Program

Discover why moths matter, to us, to the ecosystem, and to Lake Whitney State Park, through an evening of learning and hands-on exploration.

Moths are some of nature’s most fascinating and often overlooked nighttime creatures. But what exactly are moths, and why are they important? Join us to explore how moths contribute to the ecosystem, why they matter to us, and the key role they play here at Lake Whitney State Park.

Program Includes:
• One-hour educational moth presentation
• One-hour hands-on moth viewing experience

What to Bring:
• Cell phone or camera for photos
• A chair & bug spray
• Water & Snacks
• UV or Purple/Red flashlight (we have 10 purple ones on hand)
• Weather appropriate clothing
• Your sense of wonder and imagination

We will meet up at the Group Rec Hall

NOTE: Restrooms will be available on site.
