Coffee with the Birds - Birds Hike

Start your morning off right with a peaceful bird hike and some fresh conversation about the language of bird song! Join Ranger Lory as she guides you on a relaxing hike where we'll listen to the morning chorus and talk about the fascinating language of bird song.

Coffee with the Birds is a friendly, guided morning hike along the scenic Two Bridges Trail at Lake Whitney State Park. Designed for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers of all experience levels, this event blends relaxation and discovery. Sip your favorite morning coffee as we listen to birdsong, spot native and migratory birds, and learn fun facts about our feathered neighbors. It’s the perfect way to start your day—with caffeine, fresh air, and winged company!

Meet at the Two Bridges Trail head for this 1-mile walk after you pay your day fees. If camping no need to stop at HQ's just go to trailhead. 

What to bring:  

• Your favorite mug filled with your coffee
• Binoculars (we have loaners to borrow)
• Comfortable pair of walking shoes
• Dress for the weather
• A camera or phone to capture the beauty of our trail
• A friend or two!

Whether a seasoned birder or just curious, everyone is welcome.
