Let's see how many different pollinator species we can find at Lockhart State Park!

The Texas Pollinator Bioblitz is a great opportunity for visitors to observe pollinators and the native plants they visit for nectar and pollen. Join us to find these beneficial critters and and take photos to help scientists! Anyone can participate and no experience is necessary. All ages welcome.

Prepare: Download the iNaturalist app and create an account prior to our event, if desired (this is optional, but encouraged!). Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Bring water and apply sunscreen or bug repellent, as needed. Our walk will be 1/2-mile or so on easy terrain. No registration required.

Meet: Meet your guide at the Picnic Area. If driving from park headquarters, take your first right-hand turn to park in the playground parking lot.

Fees: This program is free with paid entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under.
