What critters call Lockhart State Park home?
Join a Master Naturalist on walk through the park to learn about the animals who live in the Blackland Prairie! All ages welcome.
Prepare: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Bring water and apply sunscreen or bug repellent, as needed. The hike is less than 1 mile on easy terrain. No registration required.
Meet: Meet your guide at the Clear Fork Trailhead. If driving from park headquarters, take your first right-hand turn to park in the playground parking lot. Walk across the field (past the basketball court) to the Clear Fork Trailhead.
Fees: This program is FREE as part of our Lockhart State Park Open House & 4-H Kickoff!
This hike is brought to you by the Lost Pines Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists volunteer organization (click here to learn more) in partnership with Lockhart State Park.
