Moth Madness
Fri, August 22, 2025
Come see the moths and other nocturnal insects that call this area home! Drop in anytime between 8:30-10pm.
Thousands of species of moths pollinate countless plants, provide most of the food for our insect eating wildlife, and are some of our most beautiful creatures in the wild! Join us to see how many we can find on our sheets. We will also use iNaturalist and SEEK to help us identify them, so feel free to download one of those apps if you want to learn more about them. Drop in any time between 8:30-10pm.
Prepare: Bring a flashlight and apply bug repellent as needed. No registration required.
Meet: Meet your guide at the Creekview Trailhead. If driving from park headquarters, take your first left-hand turn, pass the campgrounds, and park along the paved loop.
Fees: Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under). If our office is closed when you arrive, please use the self-pay station at park HQ to check into the park.
