Old School Ink Making

Did you know that the Declaration of Independence was written and signed using oak gall ink? Join us this Fourth of July to make ink from oak galls, just like they did 250 years ago. Then, try the ink for yourself!

Join us to make ink from oak galls, learn a little history, and draft your own document with a feather quill pen! All ages welcome. No reservation required.

Prepare: Dress for the weather and bring water. 

Meet: At the Park Headquarters building. 

Fees: This class is free with paid entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under.
