The Old Henderson trail is freshly reopened, now with a direct view to our parks ecosystem engineer: the beaver.

Hiking, besides being great exercise, is an excellent way to get out and see the wild side of a park. Unique plants, fungi, and of course animals are just waiting to be discovered.
Join us at the amphitheater where we'll head out to the Old Henderson trail and take a look at what there is to see. On the way we'll be taking a moment to look at a freshly built beaver pond!
- Bring: Water, bug spray, sunscreen, and hiking clothes.
- Meet: At the Amphitheater
- Cost: Entry fee is $4 for adults 13+ and FREE 12 & under (Park entry free with Texas State Park Pass.).
