Owl Prowl

Owls are out in the park after dark and so are we! Come take a look at the Eastern Screech Owls living in our park.

Where: At the Pavilion

Owls are one of the most fascinating creatures of the Texas night. Wonderfully adapted for the niche in which they fit, these animals are truly unique and a sight to behold.

Meet us down by the pavilion where we'll be taking a short moment to talk about some night hike etiquette and safety. Binoculars are recommended to help spot any critters we might see.

• Bring: Water, hiking clothes, hiking shoes, a flashlight, binoculars and bug spray.
• Meet: At the Amphitheater
• Cost: Entry fee is $4 for adults 13+ and FREE 12 & under (Park entry free with Texas State Park Pass.).
