S'mores and Safety

Meet us at the park for a talk on fire safety, followed by the sharing of a sweet treat!

Fires are often one of the best parts of the camping experience. Being able to gather round and cook, laugh, and enjoy the outdoors is why so many people love the park. But with this comes the responsibility to make sure that fires are built properly and handled with care.

Meet a ranger at the amphitheater for a quick talk on how to build, handle, and douse fires followed by a round of s'mores making!

• Bring: Water and bug spray.

• Cost: Entry fee is $4 for adults 13+ and FREE 12 & under (Park entry free with Texas State Park Pass.).
